PROJECT DEKALOG89 +
Project „Dekalog 89 +” - ten incredible stories, ten young, talented directors, ten films that wont leave spectators neutral. The result of effort taken by thousands of young people who submitted their stories to a literary contest, and dozens of filmmakers competing for opportunity to make a film.
Dekalog 89 + is the response of young, ambitious people for Krzysztof Kieslowski's masterpiece - cycle "The Decalogue" launched twenty years ago, which is one of the monuments, not only Polish, but also European cinema. Films are like the prism through which it;s possible to look at the reality of today's youth, their successes, failures, daily life. The problems raised in various etudes are universal - spectators can find in the figures of main characters some personal characteristics well known from their own environment. Young people got the opportunity to talk about things they have to deal with and what makes them mad in each day life, but also about what attracts and fascinates them. That specific talk was possible thanks to the film language of emotions. That is why film is not only an opportunity for teens to understand the mechanisms that rule the reality, but also an opportunity for adults to find the key to youth's world.
